Vinous highlights at the one-day pop-up in its dining room will include older vintages and hard-to-find releases from the likes of Domaine Fran\u00e7ois Raveneau, Prieur\u00e9 Roch, Domaine Roulot, Kongsgaard, and Sassicaia, as well as cult champagnes including J\u00e9r\u00f4me Pr\u00e9vost, Guillaume Selosse, and Pierre P\u00e9ters. These are the sort of wines which, in many cases, can only be acquired through long-standing relationships. And they\u2019ll be priced at market value, rather than with a restaurant mark-up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver the last 13 years, we\u2019ve amassed so much beautiful wine \u2013\u00a0it\u2019s nice to give people the chance to enjoy some of them at home,\u201d says chef Isaac McHale. \u201cIt\u2019s also an opportunity to engage with guests in a different way and see old faces we haven\u2019t seen in a while.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elitetraveler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/05\/the-clove-club-rare-wines-1920x2560.jpeg\" alt=\"the clove club rare winery\" class=\"wp-image-261528\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a9The Clove Club<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em>See also: <a href=\"https:\/\/elitetraveler.com\/finest-dining\/restaurants-finest-dining\/a-guide-to-all-three-michelin-star-restaurants-in-the-uk\">A Guide to All Three-Michelin-Star Restaurants in the UK<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The restaurant will also be selling off bespoke tableware including willow baskets handmade on Eigg island in Scotland, lacquerware from Japan, and drinking vessels from John Jenkins, a company which usually only supplies its lovely cocktail glasses to the trade. Among the more unusual lots will be hand-blown Massimo Lunardon glass \u2018bowls\u2019 \u2013 complete with dimples for fingertips \u2013\u00a0specially designed for the famous orange wines of Gravner in Friuli.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Head sommelier Emer Landgraf will be on hand throughout the day, pouring champagne by the glass. They\u2019ll also be selling ice cream, plus an array of pantry items including homemade truffle puree, hot sauce made from their own chillies, elderflower vinegar, and bottled cocktails including a Cherry Negroni. The event is free entry and there\u2019s no booking required.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elitetraveler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/05\/the-clove-club-rare-wines-sale-2141x2560.jpeg\" alt=\"the clove club rare winery\" class=\"wp-image-261529\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a9The Clove Club<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I don\u2019t know about you, but I think this Michelin-starred car boot sale sounds like a total ball. We pulled over 300\u00a0bottles from our cellar, ranging from $20 selections to highly\u00a0allocated auction finds. Alongside the wine, our chefs baked\u00a0pies to go, and we sold vintage plates and cocktail glasses\u00a0we no longer used in service. It was a massive success with our regulars and is now a\u00a0biannual tradition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe vibe is very communal,\u201d he says, \u201clike a\u00a0Michelin-starred restaurant meets a wine shop and a sample\u00a0sale. Each event features a ton of great wine \u2013\u00a0everything from\u00a0small grower Champagnes to Keller GG Rieslings \u2013\u00a0special\u00a0to-go dishes from the kitchen, batched bottled cocktails from\u00a0the bar, and retired tableware.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elitetraveler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/05\/kato-glasses-sale-1920x2560.jpg\" alt=\"kato glass sale\" class=\"wp-image-261569\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a9Kato<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Good news for UK readers. If all goes to plan on the May 24, says McHale, The Clove Club will host another sale at Christmas. \u201cUltimately it\u2019s all a prelude to launching an online shop.\u201d And more and more fine dining restaurants are now going into retail \u2013\u00a0see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elevenmadisonhome.com\/shop#homewares\">Eleven Madison<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/elitetraveler.com\/travel\/destination-guides\/north-america\/new-york-destination-guide\">New York<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.quinceandcosf.com\/collections\/frontpage?page=1\">Quince<\/a> in San Francisco. There\u2019s something, though, about an IRL pop-up like this that feels particularly convivial \u2013 worth heading out for whether you\u2019re in the market for a \u00a3500 (approx. $675) bottle of Prieur\u00e9 Roch or just some window shopping.<\/p>\n<p><em>Bottles will range from \u00a375 to \u00a3500 (approx. $101 to $675), with limited quantities available, while crockery items will start from \u00a310 (approx. $13).
