{"id":4714,"date":"2026-07-21T05:05:00","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T05:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/facesjournal.com\/?p=4714"},"modified":"2026-07-21T05:05:00","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T05:05:00","slug":"inside-ferraris-floating-formula-1-paddock-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/facesjournal.com\/?p=4714","title":{"rendered":"Inside Ferrari\u2019s\u00a0Floating\u00a0Formula 1 Paddock Club\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During Monaco Grand Prix weekend, Ferrari traded the conventional hospitality suite for a superyacht sanctuary.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"229\" src=\"https:\/\/elitetraveler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/07\/ferrari-yacht-monaco-1-scaled-e1784291144400-300x229.jpeg\" class=\"attachment-medium size-medium wp-post-image\" alt=\"Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton aboard the Ferrari GP Yacht at Monaco\" \/><\/div>\n<p>The Formula 1 Paddock Club\u00a0has long\u00a0represented the pinnacle of trackside hospitality, but\u00a0Ferrari\u00a0has taken\u00a0the concept even further with the Ferrari GP Club.\u00a0Hosted aboard\u00a0the\u00a0154-foot superyacht Liquid Sky\u00a0during the Monaco Grand Prix, the invitation-only experience combines luxury yachting, fine dining and front-row viewing into one of F1\u2019s most exclusive hospitality offerings.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Naturally,\u00a0the floating Club\u00a0occupies one of Port Hercule\u2019s most coveted berths during race weekend, moored stern to\u00a0right outside the Fairmont Tunnel. It was from here, ensconced on the\u00a092-foot sundeck\u00a0with a Tifosi cocktail in hand, where I\u00a0watched\u00a0the cars\u00a0blast out\u00a0the tunnel, brake\u00a0hard into the Nouvelle Chicane, and accelerate\u00a0down into the Tabac corner.\u00a0If the plethora of painted \u201cForza Charles\u201d\u00a0banners\u00a0draped\u00a0from apartment balconies didn\u2019t\u00a0tell me\u00a0we were in Leclerc country, the roar from the crowd every time his\u00a0iconic number 16\u00a0car screamed down the\u00a0harbor\u00a0stretch certainly did.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Relocating Ferrari\u2019s premium hospitality offering to\u00a0a\u00a0superyacht is a step up for both guests and the team. \u201cWell, this is much better than the Paddock Club!\u201d said Fred Vasseur, Ferrari team principle, as he entered the yacht\u2019s\u00a0light and airy\u00a0main saloon.\u00a0Leclerc\u2019s new race helmet rested behind him,\u00a0personalized\u00a0with\u00a0\u201cJB17\u201d\u00a0in\u00a0tribute\u00a0to\u00a0his\u00a0late\u00a0friend\u00a0and F1 driver Jules Bianchi. Ticket costs vary per package but start in the region of \u20ac8,000 each (approx. $9,141). This year, that included 25 of VistaJet\u2019s Private World members\u00a0whose race weekend, like mine,\u00a0began aboard a\u00a0silver-with-a-red-stripe\u00a0aircraft landing\u00a0directly\u00a0into Nice\u2019s private terminal, before being whisked by\u00a0Bentley to the Port of Fontvieille to catch a tender to the yacht.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Minutes after\u00a0arriving,\u00a0I was\u00a0ushered\u00a0into an intimate tasting hosted by\u00a0Perrier-Jou\u00ebt,\u00a0Ferrari\u2019s\u00a0long-standing champagne partner. Elaborately decorated\u00a0bottles, adorned by the Chanel atelier, were displayed at the main deck entrance setting the tone for the experience.\u00a0I found myself returning to the\u00a0delicate\u00a0Blanc de Blancs\u00a0Belle Epoque\u00a02013, which, along with endless trays of canap\u00e9s,\u00a0flowed\u00a0freely\u00a0throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>As the heat ramped up,\u00a0I\u00a0sought respite\u00a0inside and\u00a0discovered the SkinCeuticals counter, complete with makeup artists ready to refresh your look.\u00a0Baskets of the premium skincare line\u2019s suncream\u00a0were\u00a0dotted around on deck,\u00a0along with\u00a0an exquisite ceviche station.\u00a0The yacht\u2019s oak wood, bronze accented decor remained largely unchanged, save for temporary carpet fitted throughout to allow guests to keep their shoes on while onboard (a yachting rarity). Though\u00a0the biggest luxury\u00a0of a club of this nature is\u00a0the serene onboard ambience\u00a0and\u00a0large shaded areas, a\u00a0sharp contrast\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0heat-ravaged\u00a0dockside.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elitetraveler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/07\/vista-jet-ferrari-gp-yacht.jpg\" alt=\"ferrari gp yacht\" class=\"wp-image-266245\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a9Instagram<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>For Leclerc,\u00a0who won the British Grand Prix just last weekend,\u00a0luxury in F1 is less about extravagance than personalization. \u201cI think probably the fact that things are tailored to you, that&#8217;s what luxury is,&#187; he said during an intimate gathering. \u201cThe experience for guests coming to a F1 race is very much about creating something tailored to them.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That philosophy was evident throughout the Ferrari GP Club\u00a0and\u00a0reflected the\u00a0tight\u00a0seven-year partnership\u00a0between Ferrari and VistaJet.\u00a0Thomas Flohr, the billionaire founder and chairman of VistaJet,\u00a0competes at the highest levels of GT and endurance racing. He famously\u00a0took\u00a0second place at Le Mans in 2018 behind the wheel of a Ferrari 488 GTE. As\u00a0a strategic business partner of\u00a0the Maranello-based manufacturer,\u00a0Flohr\u2019s decision to\u00a0support the\u00a0Scuderia Ferrari\u00a0race team\u00a0by flying them privately throughout\u00a0Grand Prix season\u00a0was \u201cthe obvious choice,\u201d says Jennifer Farquhar, VistaJet\u2019s director of group communications.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That mindset is now evolving further. In 2027, VistaJet will introduce its Jet Lag Program, a new initiative aimed at refining recovery and circadian performance for those constantly crossing time zones. It\u2019s something that\u00a0Leclerc\u00a0is fully onboard with.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing at 100 percent from the first race to the last is extremely important\u00a0for me\u00a0but traveling the world, not to mention\u00a0the races themselves, is\u00a0very tiring,\u201d he\u00a0said. \u201cFlying privately means\u00a0I\u2019m rested, focused,\u00a0and\u00a0able to concentrate on\u00a0my\u00a0performance.\u201d\u00a0A point proven in 2024 when he became the\u00a0first Monegasque to win a home-race since Louis Chiron drove to victory in 1931.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year, that same logic of seamless movement between circuit, sky,\u00a0and recovery extended beyond the paddock and onto the water.
